Staff are fantastic The house is quite amazing Being 14 km from Kandy is a good thing!
Rooms were a bit musty - it's a 90 year old house.

Outside of the hustle and bustle of Kandy. Easy and cheap local buses into Kandy. An excellent place to relax and take walks through nearby paddy fields and villages. Very helpful staff. Beautifully presented meals.

The house itself (Dutch colonial style) is very beautiful. This could easily be a 5 star hotel with some re-decoration and works! Having said this, the place is what you should expect from a 3 star hotel - clean, nice staff. The breakfast is very very good and this place is great value for money. We also had dinner there and the food was quite good.
It is a bit far from Kandy (about 15min due to traffic), but it is not really an issue.
